Injuries: On the weekend, Dortmund lost captain Marcel Schmelzer to a long-term injury. Marc Bartra also suffered an injury scare in the game meaning he is a doubt. Marco Reus, Raphael Guerreiro, Andre Schürrle, Erik Durm, Sebastian Rode and Erik Durm are all long-term injuries who Dortmund will also be without.

Things had been going well for Monaco but they slipped to a shock 4-0 defeat away to Nice at the weekend and that result would have knocked their confidence ahead of this exciting fixture.
RB Leipzig are in good shape ahead of their first ever Champions League match and this is one of the most exciting fixtures of the round. Both sides play entertaining football and this should be there for either side to win.

They are coming from back-to-back wins and in their last game they eliminated Finland in the first round of the playoffs with a 57-70 score. They have four consecutive wins and in their last game they eliminated Hungary in the first round of the playoffs with an 86-78 score. They are led in scoring by Bogdan Bogdanovic with 19.3 ppg, adding 3.2 rpg and 5.3 assists per game. He is followed by Boban Marjanovic with 13 ppg and 4.5 rebounds, while Milan Macvan adds 10.3 ppg and 3.8 rebounds.
This will be the 6th meeting between those two squads in the history of the competition, with Serbia having won all five previous games going back to 1993. In their latest matchup on 2015, Serbia won with a 101-82 score. Serbia are better offensively, scoring 81 ppg to Italy’s third-worse of 69.3, while Italy are better defensively, allowing 64.4 ppg to Serbia’s 70.6. Serbia have a better 2-point percentage, shooting with 53% to Italy’s 46.3%, and a better free throw percentage, shooting with 75.2% to Italy’s 67.8%, while Italy have a better 3-point percentage, shooting with 39.2% to Serbia’s 34.9%. Serbia are better in rebounding, grabbing 38.8 to Italy’s 32.7, and assists made, with 21.7 to Italy’s 15.2, while both teams commit almost the same number of turnovers (11.2 and 11.5). Italy have been more unpredictable in this tournament while Serbia have been more stable. I expect Italy will win this match , or it will be very close both teams.

Not much to say about this match. Leeds is a much better team and playing at home. They have to take 3points from visitors.

Manchester United spent a year out of action in the Champions League thanks to their poor performances in the Premier League, but it ended up yielding dividends, as they lifted the Europa League last season, which was the one trophy missing from their cabinet. This also allowed them a straight passage to the group stages, so Jose Mourinho’s gamble of focusing on that over the league ended up paying off.
Mourinho has continued to rebuild the squad over the summer, bringing in Nemanja Matic, Victor Lindelof, and Romelu Lukaku. All of these are expected to play on Tuesday, with Lindelof set to try and earn a more regular spot in the starting line up after not playing a league game so far.
The summer transfer business has definitely paid off so far. Matic’s arrival has freed up the previously constrained Paul Pogba and the young Frenchman is flourishing at the moment. Lukaku is the big success though, scoring four league goals already this season and netting in the UEFA Super Cup against Real Madrid. Manchester United did drop their first points of the season away to Stoke on Saturday, but they have scored 12 goals in their last four matches and kept three clean sheets in the process. Against the underdogs of their Champions League group, they will be feeling very confident.
Basel may have romped home to the Swiss Super League title last season, but the Champions League is a very different beast. The visitors picked up just two points in their group stage last season and were comfortably beaten by Arsenal and PSG both home and away. They haven’t won a game in the competition since August 2015, and three of their last five outings have seen them lose by at least a two goal margin.
This could spell trouble for the visitors. They are facing a side who have won three of their four league games this season by a two goal margin or more, and Basel have lost six of their last ten away days in the Champions League. Five of these six defeats have been by two or more goals, so odds of 1.990 for a Manchester United -1.5 Asian Handicap win look good value,

EUROPE: Champions League - Group Stage - Round 1

Celtic took their dominance of Scotland to a new level last season as they went the entire season unbeaten in the Scottish Premiership and eventually won the title by a margin of 30 points, but unfortunately their dominance doesn’t stretch as far as Europe just yet.
Admittedly they were drawn in a very tough group including Barcelona, Manchester City, and Borussia Monchengladbach, but they failed to win any of their games and were hammered 7-0 at Barcelona. They did manage a draw at home to Manchester City though in a thrilling 3-3 game. In fact, their entire group stage last season was a goalfest, with a total of 21 goals in their six matches. Coming up against one of the most devastating attacking sides in world football, we could be in for more goals here.
The Bhoys have already seen plenty of action this season, knocking Linfield, Rosenborg, and Astana out in the Champions League qualifiers and winning four of their five league games so far. They have scored a total of 32 goals in their 12 competitive games this season, including eight against Astana in an 8-4 thriller on aggregate.
PSG are no strangers to goals this season either, and it’s no surprise, given the outlay they’ve had on bringing in new attackers. They obliterated the world record transfer fee when they signed Neymar for £200 million, and they’ve added Kyliann Mbappe to their arsenal since then on loan, with an obligation to buy for over £150 million.
Mbappe managed to score on his debut against Metz on Friday, with PSG winning that game 5-1, to make it six wins from six in competitive football this season. They have scored 21 times in these six matches, and their world record signing has wasted no time in trying to repay his fee with four goals and four assists in four appearances. Backing Neymar to find the net again looks the best bet for our goalscorer predictions.
It’s important to remember just how well Neymar performs in the Champions League. He masterminded a stunning comeback from Barcelona against his new club last season and finished the campaign with four goals and eight assists in the competition. He should have a field day against a Celtic defence who have conceded 16 goals in their last six group stage appearances.
Celtic should be able to get on the scoresheet at least though. They have found the net in eight of their last 11 Champions League matches, whilst PSG have conceded in ten of their last 11 on the road in the Champions League.

Juventus banished the memory of their 2015 Champions League Final defeat to Barcelona by reaching the last four at Camp Nou last season, and they should be a tough nut to crack again.
The Italian champions probably played Barca at a good time in April because their opponents had pulled off that astonishing comeback against Paris Saint-Germain in the previous round, which probably masked their deficiencies in defensive areas especially.
Paulo Dybala’s double and a Giorgio Chiellini double gave Juve a 3-0 advantage from the first leg in Turin and they stood much firmer than PSG did in the return match to draw 0-0 and go through to a semi-final meeting with Monaco.
The Old Lady negotiated that tie also, but again they came up short in the final as Real Madrid swept them aside after the break to triumph 4-1 in Cardiff.Juve will not give up, of course, in their quest for a first European title since 1996 and signings this summer such as Blaise Matuidi, Douglas Costa, Federico Bernadeschi and Benedikt Howedes have boosted their cause despite the departures of Leonardo Bonucci and Dani Alves.
Barcelona, meanwhile, have famously lost Neymar to PSG and were able to spend only half of his world-record transfer fee on Ousmane Dembele, missing out on other potential replacements such as Philippe Coutinho and Angel di Maria.
That increases the pressure on Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez and it is tempting to think that new coach Ernesto Valverde has inherited an ageing squad that is approaching the end of its cycle.
Massimiliano Allegri, on the other hand, has done a good job of regenerating his Juventus resources for the second consecutive summer, and we can see his side leaving Barcelona with a point which could be important when it comes to deciding who will finish top of this group.

Coming into the Monday Night Football match to close out Gameweek 4 of the Premier League, the two sides could not be different positions.
Huddersfield have enjoyed an incredible start to the Premier League season. David Wagner’s side have bagged wins over Crystal Palace and Newcastle whilst last time out they drew 0-0 at Southampton.
Meanwhile, West Ham have been forced to play their opening three matches away from home and it has been a summer of struggle for the Hammers.
